A one-off tidy-up is often all a garden needs. We did one recently in time for spring, and the difference in an afternoon is bigger than people expect.
Gardens get away from everyone. Pots go to seed, a corner fills up with things that were going to be dealt with later, and eventually the whole area feels like too big a job to start.
